There are a few different ways to capture a screen shot using Elgato Game Capture HD.

Windows Screen Shots

To take a screen shot of Elgato Game Capture HD content when using Windows, please follow these steps:

1) Visit the Capture or Edit section
2) Play video, and navigate to the frame of video you want to capture
3) Press Control-Alt-Shift-C on your keyboard to create the screen shot

Control-Alt-Shift-C will also work when playing video Full Screen.

Alternatively, you can right-click on the frame of video you want to capture, and then select the Screen Shot to Desktop option.  This right-click option only works when playing recordings in Edit mode.

Mac Screen Shots

To take a screen shot of Elgato Game Capture HD content when using a Mac, please follow these steps:

1) Visit the Capture or Edit section
2) Play video, and navigate to the frame of video you want to capture
3) Press Command-Shift-C on your keyboard to create the screen shot

Command-Shift-C will also work when playing video Full Screen.

Alternatively, you can select the frame of video you want to capture, visit the Edit menu, and then select Screen Shot to Desktop.

The video below will provide instructions on how to deactivate or move Zebra Designer licenses if you are still using version 2.2.2. The text below the video also describes the process in detail.

Complete instructions for executing the move are displayed when the option is selected (see screen shot below).

Important: Do not select the Remove License Icon. This will destroy the licensing key rendering it unusable. The Remove License option is NOT associated with the process of moving a license from one PC to another

This method requires you to enter the License Number received via email, if you purchased your License Number from www.zebra.com. If the software was purchased and shipped to you from your reseller, the key is on the inside cover within the clam shell case the CD shipped in.

IMPORTANT NOTE - The Remove License option is NOT associated with the process of moving a license from one PC to another.

There is an alternative manual move method if for any reason you need a different way to move the key.

Manually Move a License

Each step must be executed from the specified PC using the instructions provided within the License Manager

First Step (from the Move a License screen below) 1.  Select media on NEW PC, Initialize it:

After completing the first step

The “License Manager” screen displays "Media successfully initialized" and the file "media_init.sys" (1k) is copied to the selected drive.

Note - existing files on the selected drive were not affected by "Initialize Media" 
 

Second Step - 2.  Select media on ORIGINAL PC, Move to

After completing the second step

The License Manager screen displays "License moved to media" and the file "mediaXfr.dat" (1k) is copied to the selected drive.

Third Step - 3.  Select media on NEW PC, Move from

After completing the third step

The License Manager screen displays "License moved to computer." Both the "media_init.sys" and "mediaXfr.dat" files are moved off of the selected drive to the PC.

The software on the new PC becomes an activated version and will no longer show as Demo mode at startup.  

The PC the license was moved from will state “This is a DEMO version!” at software startup. 

Zebra does not recommend that licenses are repeatedly moved between PC’s.

The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It also has a community-updated configuration file that retrieves product keys for many other applications. Another feature is the ability to retrieve product keys from unbootable Windows installations.

If you need something more powerful, compare Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder with a tool called "Recover Keys". This advanced product key finder is not free, however it doesn't cost much for what it does.

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder features

1. Command line options - /save <location> /savecsv <location> /close /hive <location> /file <filename>
2. Load Hive option - allows you to load the registry hive of another Windows installation. To use, put the hard drive in a working machine (must also be Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8 or 10) or use Windows PE (not tested, should work) and click Load Hive. Then point it to the dead Windows install. If you're using Windows Vista, Administrator rights are required for this feature. You may have to right click on the Keyfinder and run as Administrator.
3. Improved Save & Print! - save & print options will now include all keys. Save is also available in text or CSV.
